Bite the Bullet

If you are like most people today, you will find yourself with too much to do and too little time. As you struggle to catch up, new tasks keep rolling in, like a relentless barrage of bullets. Because of this, it often feels impossible to complete everything on your to-do list.

However, there is a powerful formula that you can use for the rest of your life, for setting and achieving goals : "Think on paper."

This method allows you to prioritize your tasks effectively, ensuring that the most critical ones are addressed first. By breaking down larger goals into manageable steps, you can make consistent progress without feeling overwhelmed.

Additionally, regular review and adjustment of your goals help you stay on track and adapt to changing circumstances.

Follow these seven steps and you can tackle all your tasks efficiently:

  1. Decide exactly what you want.

  2. Think on paper. Write it down.

  3. Set timelines and deadlines for your goals.

  4. List everything you think is required to achieve your goal.

  5. Plan and organize your list by assigning priority and sequence.

  6. Take action immediately. Start working on your plan right away.

  7. Keep pushing forward. Complete at least one task every day that moves you toward your goal.

Goals are the fuel in the furnace of achievement. The bigger and clearer your goals are, the more excited you get about achieving them. This is the power of written goals—it enables you to tackle your tasks head-on every single day.

Checklist

  1. Take a sheet of paper and list ten goals you want to accomplish this year and next year. Write your goals as if a year has already passed and they are now a reality. Use the present tense so your subconscious mind immediately accepts them. For example, "I earn x number of dollars per year by this date" or "I weigh x number of pounds by this date."

  2. Review your list of ten goals and select the one that, if achieved, would have the greatest positive impact on your life. This exercise could change your life!

From Crest to the Core

The Foundation for Collaboration

aamena-ahmed.png

Aamena Ahmad

Senior Content Analyst

In today's fast-paced business environment, it is more important than ever for companies to prioritize the well-being of their employees.

In order to attract and retain top talent, organizations must not only offer competitive salaries and benefits, but also foster a culture that values the health, happiness, and work-life balance of its team members and addresses these very human needs.

In our last two blogs, we have talked about our people-first approach covered by our two core values, which highlighted the kind of talent we look for and then our focus on creating safe & inclusive spaces for our team members.

But here we are going to focus on another element which we believe is essential to lay down the foundation of collaboration.

Aiming to Collaborate

Support each other in achieving better health, happiness, and work-life balance, while having a lot of fun together.

We are not shy to include something not often covered by organizational core values – having fun. We take the saying “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” seriously. We are always looking for ways to create a workplace that is not only productive and efficient, but also enjoyable and fulfilling for everyone involved. When work practices support individuals in their efforts to maintain a healthy work-life balance, they are more likely to be engaged, motivated, and committed to their work, and be creative, innovative, and resilient in the face of challenges - all of which are ingredients for healthy, vibrant and sustained collaboration. Our belief is that when people are energized and happy in a group or space, their capacity to be open, share and offer support grows.

To promote employee wellbeing, happiness and an element of fun at work, we have several practices in place:

Employee Wellbeing Webinars

We offer access to employee wellbeing webinars that promote physical activity, healthy eating, and stress management. These webinars are conducted by experts on topics like preventing digital burnout, managing stress, understanding office ergonomics, building the habit of meditation, etc.

Flexi-Glen Model

We offer work-from-home flexibility, and allow flexible work schedules, while also placing value on in-office collaboration, engagement, ideation, & innovation to help employees balance their work with their personal responsibilities.

Meet-ups & Hobby Clubs

Having fun together as a team is critical for building resilient teams. When employees feel connected to their colleagues and enjoy spending time together, they are more likely to be collaborative, supportive, and productive. This can take many different forms, from team-building activities and social events to company-sponsored volunteer opportunities and community service projects. Our Infoglen Hobby Clubs, like the Travelling Club, CSR Club, Book Club, and others, allow employees to disconnect from work and engage in activities they enjoy, while also fostering a sense of community and belonging within the workplace.

Ultimately, the core value of supporting each other in achieving better health, happiness, and work-life balance, while having a lot of fun together is about creating a workplace that values the whole person. It is about recognizing that employees are not just cogs in a machine, but individuals with unique needs and aspirations, who have a lot to offer to each other and the larger organization. By prioritizing the well-being of our team members, we can create a culture of collaboration, engagement and innovation that benefits everyone involved.

Success Story

Closing Deals Faster: Gridspace's Salesforce Optimization Success with Infoglen

Gridspace.png

About The Client

Gridspace is a California-based company that specializes in providing superior machine talent for patients, customers and businesses  to make conversational care readily available. The company’s software makes it easy for contact centers and developers to quickly understand customer requests, synchronize agent responses and drive successful outcomes.

Problem

bulletpoiint-black.png

Gridspace faced major operational issues due to outdated processes, inefficient CPQ and taxation systems, and a cumbersome deal creation process. They struggled with data consistency, poor documentation, and underutilization of Salesforce for contract management. Information was fragmented across various platforms, and manual calculations for partner deal percentages led to errors and inefficiencies. Additionally, the poor layout of user records hindered UI quality and operational efficiency.

Solution

Optimized CPQ: Streamlined and automated the CPQ process with validation rules, flows and workflows.

Auto Renewals: Introduced an automated approval process to eliminate the risk of overlooking critical quote renewal steps, ensuring a smoother and more efficient workflow.

UI Enhancement: Improved record layout and UI for better visibility and readability.

Partner Deal Management: We streamlined partner deal percentage calculations by introducing an account-level percentage entry system in Salesforce. This customization reduced manual effort, improved accuracy, and ensured that criteria-driven percentages were automatically applied, enhancing the efficiency of the quoting process.

Tax Management: Implemented custom price rules  to customize the taxation system to accommodate various criteria, allowing admins to apply taxes specifically to products, customers, states, and more. This customization replaced a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach, enabling precise and adaptable tax calculations.

Deal Management: We made managing deals simpler by creating a user-friendly system in Salesforce. We did this by customizing the Salesforce platform, adding new features, fields, and workflows that allowed Gridspace to track multiple sales reps and deal stages automatically, reducing the need for paper documents. This customization was accomplished by using Salesforce's custom objects, fields, flows, and validation rules.

Contract Management: By linking contracts to customer accounts in Salesforce, we've achieved a comprehensive view of contract data for Gridspace, including signing dates and involved parties, ensuring transparency and easy access to critical information.

Documentation: We solved the problem of missing documents and a disorganized system by creating a clear and organized way to store and validate important information, making everything easier and more accurate.

  • 20-25 digestive biscuits

  • ¾ cup melted butter (175 grams)
